TROY CASSER DALEY
TROY CASSER DALEY
Again I was challenged by red lights on stage. Lucky for me, I have a digital camera. I changed from colour to b/w and used a green filter. You have to remember that, at the big gigs, you can only photograph the first three songs and you cannot use flash. You have to think quick and live with the results. " I'm Happy ".

PAUL KELLY
Byron Bay Easter 2007. It's not often I'm in awe of a person.  But Paul Kelly's presensce, demands respect and attention. I almost forgot to take photo's, as all I wanted to do. was listen to him.

HARRY ANGUS (Cat Empire)
HARRY ANGUS
"Cat Empire..."
Cat Empire is a band that really knows how to work an audience. Almost the perfecct gig. Great band, great sound and great lighting. The only problem I had was trying to get all of them, as there's so many of them, spread over the stage. This was their last gig before taking their first break in six and a half years on the road. Byron Bay Easter 2008.

KEVIN BORICH
KEVIN BORICH
This was at Byron Bay 2006. Before Kevin went on stage, I was escorted to his dressing room by a  festival volunteer, (for a chat and to get some photo's signed)  a young girl who had never heard of him.  After we left I told her she had to see Kevins whole show.  This was a very special gig for everyone there, especially Kevin, This was his first gig back after beating cancer. I think he freed himself of the demons that were haunting him. This was the best show I have ever seen him do. After the show the volunteer came running and jumped into my arms, gave me a big kiss and thanked me, saying that this was the best concert she had ever been to,.And that  She is now a dedicated Kevin Borich fan.

FIONA BOYES
FIONA BOYES
This is at Byron Bay Easter 2007. Fiona is a very dear friend and one of my most favorite people. She is also one of the hardest people to photograph, as she never, ever stays still, when she's on stage. Fiona gave my career a kick start by insisting to her American record Co to hire me to do the promo photo's for her Cd 'Lucky 13'.

ANDREW STOCKDALE (Wolfmother)
ANDREW STOCKDALE
"Wolfmother..."
What a Gig this was. It was day one of The East Coast Blues and Roots Festival 2007. The Mojo tent was overflowing and the head of security, warned all the photographers to be ready. He said, if you get shoved forward, don't look back, just stay as close to the stage as possible. We are not having a go at you, we are helping the injured. We all went into the photo pit and a bearded man came out onto the stage and started howling like a wolf. Then the crowd started howling. All of a sudden the band stormed onto the stage and crowd went into a complete frenzi. The crowd surged forward and almost crushed everyone at the front. Next thing we know, is that we are all being pushed forward by security as the injured started to be carried over the barricade, and off to the side for treatment. The security guards were brilliant. The side of the stage looked like a mash unit as the first aid people worked overtime to make sure everyone was ok. This was the most heavy metal energy I had felt, since, I saw AC/DC, in December 1976, at the Sydney Myer Music Bowl Melbourne. These are two concerts I will never forget

THE McCLYMONTS
THE McCLYMONTS
These three sisters are from Grafton, N.S.W. A country act with a big future. The photo's were taken on day two of the East Coast Blues and Roots Festival, Byron Bay, Easter 2007. They signed them at the same festival in 2008.  Their energy and genuine love of what they were doing, was evident in their huge smiles and the way they continually encouraged each other on stage. It was like they were playing together for the first time and couldn't believe how good each other was.  They are from left to right to left, SAM, MOLLIE, and BROOKE.

MISSY HIGGINS
MISSY HIGGINS
This was on Day 5 at the East Coast Blues and Roots Festival, Easter 2007, Byron Bay.  Missy came out and proved she was a proud, confident woman, who belonged on the stage and didn't need to hide behind her guitar or her piano. She came out and sang and danced and embraced the audience like a seasoned professional. This is the last in a series of photo's showing Missy spinning around dancing.
